Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring efficient and smooth operations
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
- Take and develop dental X-rays
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
- Assist with dental receptionist duties as needed
- Follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Provide support to patients, addressing their concerns and ensuring their comfort
Skills:
- Proficient in medical documentation and record keeping
- Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for dental prosthetics is a plus
- Knowledge of infection control procedures and practices
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, including dental-specific terms
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy requirements
- Experience as a dental receptionist is preferred but not required
- Solid understanding of dental anatomy and oral health conditions
- Experience using Dentrix Ascend is a plus
- Ability to take accurate dental X-rays
